My good friend Tod invited me on a bow-shoot for carp. It's been years since I've attempted impaling carp with some sort of sharp object so I took him up on the offer.
The wind was stiff, the water was murky, and the carp weren't really in the mood to come out and play but we still managed to put a few in the boat. It's always a treat to go outdoors with Tod no matter what is on the agenda.
What was the best part of the trip? Tod having the sense to take the carp to the nearest oriental restaurant owners and asking them if they would like the carp for their personal use. They were excited to say the least. So much that dinner was on them, "anything on the menu" they told us.
