Late Summer Blues...

Late summer is usually fairly quiet around these parts. The calm before the storm of hunting season and school?  I always promise there will be some extraordinary camping trips every summer, but as our little family grows life just has a way to get in the way. Buts we created some good outside memories which I'll share with a photo story.

Exploring some incredible country with my boy

A Cascade Mountain 9-mile hike with our youngest and our two hairiest kids.

Mt. Thielsen
She was a trooper. Not one ounce of whining for 9 miles
A mountain blossom
Oh oh...she takes after her mama with the self images
Water park? Bshhh! Who needs a water park? Emily and friend ready to get real wet
Who is more nervous? The deer? Elayna? Dad?

Gotta love that natural form!
Emily practiced hard to shoot from a tree stand this summer

Two day float on the Umpqua with Anthony, Tyler, and Hunter

A double for cousins!

Does it get better?

Salmon fishing the mighty Pacific with Roo!

Love this girl! The reel broke on Roo's rod and we had to reel this monster snapper in with a water bottle!
Hunter feeling for a shad bite

Shes even beautiful while playing in the mud.

Laynee was much happier in this picture than in the next...

Enjoying the river with grandma

Bear hunting with the girls
Distracted black bear hunting by these black berries
